Christian Mysticism: Treasures of the Heart
Christian mysticism is a direct transformational process. It is a transformative experience and given as an answer to the prayer of the heart. As Jesus said, “Knock and the door shall be opened.”
The mystical teachings of Jesus point us inward to the truth. They invite us to embrace the mystical reality of our oneness with God. As we learn to forgive and extend the gift of innocence, we give ourselves the same gift that Jesus gave to us. These are the gifts, the treasures of the heart.
Many of us are familiar with the words from the Bible and they remind us that the truth lies within all of us. They are not just words, but they are tools for spiritual transformation. In Christian Mysticism, we allow the words of Jesus to guide us to the inner meaning found in silence.
"Take time for prayer, journaling, and insights to uncover the hidden wisdom in the teachings of Jesus. To follow and practice and pray, and go inside. That is where the devotion of God comes in. This is the essence of mysticism: pure devotion to God."
Practicing these teachings leads us to a direct experience of the Divine Light. As you go deeper, the Spirit will orchestrate things to answer the prayer of the heart. Mysticism is about the devotion that is underneath this prayer. It is about holding on to no concepts in the world, allowing everything that is not love to come into awareness to let it go.
That is our new Church experience; it is a state of mind. It comes back to knowing God, and the preparation for that is to forgive the world of linear time and space and to remember, “I bask in the Love of God. I am as God created me.” Mysticism is the pathway that takes you directly to God. We humbly ask our Christ Self to reveal itself to us.
