Jesus' teachings illuminated the ultimate truth of our existence. What Are The Beatitudes Jesus Spoke About? How Can We Teach love In This World? Jesus consistently directed our focus beyond the material world, transcending time and form. His teachings illuminated the ultimate truth of our existence; teachings emanating from love and forgiveness. In His timeless sermon on the mount, Jesus presented the beatitudes, a series of blessings that foster a state of blessedness. These profound statements invite us to experience life as children of God. By embracing humility, meekness, and a hunger and thirst for truth, we align ourselves with divine principles. The beatitudes remind us that true blessedness lies not in worldly achievements but in our connection to God’s love within our hearts. “And he opened his mouth, and taught them; saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:3). Jesus isn’t referring to material poverty, instead, He points to a state of being: the poor in spirit acknowledge the limitations of the egoic mind and desire to transcend them. When we shed the illusion of self-sufficiency and humbly acknowledge our dependence on God we become open to His divine grace. True richness lies in dwelling in the beatitudes—in God’s love, peace, and joy. These are the treasures of the heart that transcend earthly wealth; as David Hoffmeister says: “ Do you have the possessions, or do the possessions have you?” “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.” (Matthew 5:5) To be meek is not weakness; it is a state of being characterized by gentleness, patience, kindness, and humility. Meekness arises from a holy perception, one that transcends the ego’s demands and aligns with divine truth. Jesus embodied meekness during His crucifixion. Jesus submitted His will to God, saying, “...Not my will but Thy Will be done.” (Luke 22:42). “ He was identified with the Christ idea! He was aligned in that flow, aligned to Source, and not identified with anything in the world. ” (David Hoffmeister). “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” (Matthew 5:9) Our true inheritance lies in inner peace . When we accept this as our goal, our awakening accelerates. Peace is the absence of conflict; it’s a state of alignment with divine truth. Jesus reminds us that we are not sons and daughters of humanity; we are children of God. Our essence transcends earthly roles. When we remember our divine origin, peace becomes our birthright. In guiding us back to truth, Holy Spirit uses even what the ego made to lead us Home. “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4) No one comes into time and space without being tested, and sometimes to the limit. But when we suffer, it often stems from egoic decisions that go against God’s Will and lead us away from His peace. The path to happiness lies in trust; we trust that Holy Spirit will purify our heart’s desires, and as we surrender to God’s will, peace returns to our mind. “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” (Matthew 5:6) Jesus is referring here to spiritual hunger; a yearning for truth, goodness, and alignment with God’s will. He invites us to recognize that our wants and needs are rooted in perception, not in ultimate Reality. What God created is abundant, and we lack nothing. The path to correcting perception lies in forgiveness and miracle working. As we forgive illusions and align with divine truth, our perception shifts closer to Reality. “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8) To be pure in heart is to cleanse our inner being; to remove the veils of ego, judgment, and fear. It’s about keeping our hearts open to the love of God. When we offer this divine love to all our brothers and sisters we glimpse our true Self. We recognize that we are Love, created by Love, and eternally connected to the Source. The pure in heart behold God not with physical eyes but with spiritual vision. In the depths of love, we encounter the Divine. “God is everything; Spirit is everything; Love is everything; and the world of time and space is nothing. And yet, if we believe in nothing as our identity, we are unhappy, because we are children of God. We breathe, live, and move in Spirit and light. I retired when the body was 34. I gave the body and the mind and everything over to Jesus. Jesus told me this would happen. He told me, "You won’t have a career." And at that point—it was 1991—I was hearing Jesus’ voice on a daily basis, instructing me in a very conversational tone. It made my life extremely easy; never had a difficult decision to make. For myself, I was told where to go, who to meet, what to do, what to say—very, very practical. In that year, Jesus said to me, "Now you are mine. You have no life of your own. No future ambitions. No future goals." That was the end of my human will. And with it came a very deep peace that seemed to grow stronger in those early years. It got deeper and deeper. Like I was watching a movie. Like the world was a fairy tale. I wasn’t striving to make anything different. I didn’t have any motive to convince anybody of anything. I was just in a deep acceptance. Then the gifts of the Spirit started coming very strong and in many different ways, like using music and movies. I still marvel at how the symbols get used. I never take anything for granted. It always seems amazing and marvelous. We can all learn from the mystical teachings of Jesus.

The Holy Spirit is the bridge back to God, which Jesus followed and now invites us to follow as well. The goal of the Holy Spirit's teaching is to help us relinquish all scraps of fear from our mind and help us remember the love of God. What Is the Holy Spirit? "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:25-27) “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” (John 14:15-17) How the Holy Spirit Heals The Holy Spirit mediates between fears and the love of God - bridging the gap between them so that you can consistently remember what happiness is. Forgiveness leads to God, through the grace that God has given the Holy Spirit, His gift to everyone who turns to Him is Love. When you cross the bridge that He provides, he will carry your fears to the truth, to be dispelled before the light of God’s love. The goal the Holy Spirit’s teaching sets is to relinquish all scraps of fear and return you to the remembrance of the love of God. Sights and sounds must be translated from the witnesses of fear to those of love. And when this is entirely accomplished, forgiveness has achieved the only goal it has in truth. For forgiveness, as the Holy Spirit guides it to the outcome He sees for it, becomes the means to go beyond itself, to be replaced by the eternal truth. If you knew how much your Father yearns to have you recognize your Holiness, you would not let His Voice appeal in vain, nor turn away from His replacement for the fearful images and fears you have seemed to make. The Holy Spirit understands the means you made. And if you offer them to Him, He will employ the means you made for exile to restore your mind to where it truly is at home. The Holy Spirit calls to you, to let for giveness rest upon your fears, and be restored to sanity and peace of mind. Without forgiveness will your fears remain to terrify you. Accept your Father’s gift. It is a Call from Love to Love. The Holy Spirit is His gift, by which the quietness of Heaven is restored to God’s beloved Son. Would you refuse to take the function of completing God, when all He wills is that you be complete? Your Holy Mind Your Holy Mind is your true nature, as God created you. “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” (Ephesians 4:23-24) “Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.” (Philippians 2:2) “Let this mind be in you which was also in Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 2:5) “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7) The Bible says, “You were…created to be like God, truly righteous and holy.” (Ephesians 4:24). That is why God gave us Christ’s vision. It is the Holy Spirit’s gift to us, God’s alternative to the belief in sin, guilt, and death. When you have achieved total relinquishment of your fears as Jesus was teaching; you will be of one mind and your vision will be that of Christ. There will be no need for sin because sin and guilt derive themselves from fear. Fear is the belief in lack and what God creates is eternally whole. The problem you seem to have is that you are unconsciously holding onto guilt and shame and the assumption that you need to punish yourself for this act of wrong-mindedness. If you truly desire God and forgiveness, you will allow the Holy Spirit to see your sins. You need not feel guilty or shameful, but take the opportunity to see that you were fearful. Another word for sin is error, or missing the mark. You miss the mark because you cannot see clearly what is your aim. Simply allow the Holy Spirit to shine the light of truth upon your darkened fears. This will give you the strength to look deeper within and to remember your holy mind. To remember what happiness is. “God is not the author of fear, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” (Corinthians 14:33) “There is no fear in love; but perfect love cast out fear, because fear involves torment” (1 John 4:18) You are afraid to look upon your fears, because you believe they are real. Fear is F-false, E-evidence, A-appearing, R-real. The seeming experience of fear is painful, but as you look closer with the Holy Spirit you will see how you have been hiding, and your fears must be brought to the light if you are to follow the teachings of Jesus. Function of the Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is the only part of the Holy Trinity that has a symbolic function. He is also described as something “separate”, apart from the Father and from the Son. Jesus himself said, “If I go I will send you another Comforter and He will abide with you”. His symbolic function makes the Holy Spirit difficult to understand because symbolism is open to different interpretations. “And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?” (Matthew 12:25-26) The Holy Spirit is your Guide in choosing. He is in the part of your mind that always speaks for the right choice [peace], because He speaks for God. He is your remaining communication with God, which you can interrupt but cannot destroy. The Holy Spirit is the way in which God’s Will is done on earth as it is in Heaven. Both Heaven and earth are in you because the call of both is in your mind. The Voice for God comes from your own altars to Him. These altars are not things; they are devotions. Yet, if you are not in peace, you must have other devotions. Your divided devotion has given you the two voices. This is what Jesus meant when he said that you cannot serve two masters. Thus, you must choose at which altar you want to serve. The call you answer now is an evaluation because it is a decision. The decision is very simple. It is made on the basis of which call is worth more to you. Would you be hostage to fear or host to God? You will accept only whom you invite. You are free to determine who shall be your guest, and how long he shall remain with you. Yet this is not real freedom, for it still depends on how you see it. The Holy Spirit is there; although He cannot help you without your invitation. And fear is nothing, whether you invite it in or not. Real freedom depends on welcoming God’s love, and of your guests only the Holy Spirit is real. Know, then, Who abides with you merely by recognizing what is there already, and do not be satisfied with imaginary comforters, for the Comforter of God is in you. And with this choice you make together with the Holy Spirit you see your sinlessness, your everlasting Comforter and Friend beside you, and your way secure and clear. The children of light cannot abide in darkness, for darkness is not in them. Do not be deceived by the dark comforters, and never let them enter the mind of God’s Son, for they have no place in His temple. When you are tempted to deny Him, remember that there are no other gods to place before Him, and accept His Will for you in peace. For you cannot accept it otherwise. By following the right Guide, you will learn the simplest of all lessons: By their fruits ye shall know them, And they shall know themselves. You will then have truly learned what happiness is.
